Builders Guild Inc. and its Customers realize the benefits of “true General Contractor”. We’re able to set the pace and quality standards of a project through self performance of specific trade scopes. Our early field involvement establishes the project standards that are then followed by all trade contractors.
As a “Builder” we have the resources of more than 80 employees to manage project demands and ensure that schedules are met. That is what our customers expect. As a result, we have developed the resources necessary to self-perform the following trades:
- Rough & Finish Carpentry
- Metal Stud Framing
- Drywall/Tape/Texture
- Paint
- Architectural Millwork Fabrication
- Architectural Millwork Installation
Not all jobs are alike, and our approach to self-perform work varies with each. Factors such as schedule and budget constraints, subcontractor availability, and project scope all influence our approach to a project and the role of self-performance. As we become involved at the early stages of a project, we will review with the Owner the potential role and resulting benefits for self-perform work. Yet, recognizing the benefits of self-performing “key” trades, the prevailing question that most Owners ask is how we can assure that the self-perform work will be performed in a competitive fashion. It is important to recognize that many portions of a self-perform work package are competitively bid. We will always act in the best interest of the project and will only self perform work when it is an advantage to the project.
